Ear Yoshino
EAR was founded in 1976 in the historic city of Cambridge, England, by the genius engineer Tim de Paravicini, who single-handedly designs and manufactures everything from recording equipment, the input stage of music—including professional recording tape machines, analog record cutting machines, compressors/limiters, microphone amps, equalizers, etc.—to playback equipment, the output stage of music, such as pre-, power, and integrated amplifiers, turntables, CD/DACs, and speakers. All products designed by Paravicini/EAR do not rely on the simple idea that high-quality sound is obtained merely by using the highest quality materials. Instead, they always use unique circuit designs and parts/assemblies that are full of a spirit of adventure, and are carefully hand-built, one by one, by skilled craftsmen in a factory in the UK, far removed from concepts like "marketing."
We want to deliver the wonderful music created by the artists to the listeners as it is." This pure desire, along with the original circuit designs that can now be described as works of art, and the overwhelming beauty and freshness of the tone and touch, makes EAR products truly unique and unparalleled. Paravicini/EAR is often called the "King of Tube" and "King of Analog" because many of the products he designs make extensive use of vacuum tubes. Especially in analog playback, he achieves a tone, sound quality, and sound field that represents the pinnacle of what is possible in music reproduction today. The sound is often referred to as "analog master sound," a quality that brings to life the realism and vitality of the "master tape" where artists and engineers have poured all their passion. Currently, Paravicini is actively expanding into the digital domain, with products such as the Acute CD players earning high praise. EAR’s products have gained the trust and confidence of world-class artists who demand precise sound, including Bob Ludwig, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd (David Gilmour/James Guthrie), and Mobile Fidelity, as well as engineers and producers in professional studios and record labels. These devices are recognized globally for their ability to record, preserve, and play back "comfortable, beautiful sound," from input to output
